Gosh. I never even thought of doing this post but you know what I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE!
So here's the sitch! Recently I've been watching Ikemen Desu Ne (Japanese remake of You're Beautiful). At first, I was a bit reluctant to watch the remake, scared it might not be as good as the original..well, I end up checking it out cause I had so much time to spare.LOL.

True. The casts may not be as BEAUTIFUL as the Korean casts...but acting wise, Japanese version is winning by miles. In the beginning I was like WTH, that guy seriously? he's playing Tae Kyung's role... O_o *shocked* (cause my first judgment was solely based on his look. YES LADIES, I ADMIT JANG GEUN SEUK IS HANDSOME PRETTY..PRETTIER!) This Ren guy...he didn't got the look BUT HE CAN FREAKING ACT! He's a good actor..more rude and more manly? Point is, he's growing on me. After 30 minutes watching I kinda like him already and the thoughts of him not being as good as Jang Geun Seuk..GONE forever!
Again with the look, people are comparing Hikaru & Hongki (playing Jeremy's role) AND I SERIOUSLY FEEL LIKE KILLING BITCHES WHO CALLED MY HIKARU UGLY , AND YEAH HIS TEETH IS NOT PERFECT, SO WHAT??? *rages* LEAVE MY HIKARU ALONE! He's adorable....I think most bitches are blind.urgh! (sorry, I'm bias like that)
Just because they don't look beautiful, you assume the drama would be terrible?Heh! When I went through comments people were like bitching about how they look..oh please~ Watch it before you made any comments...and there's people who said :
STFU BITCH!
Before you went bitching~ here's some thought (from me who actually watched the drama, unlike you foo!) First of all, I love the Korean version too but the Japanese version are funnier..especially their manager and Jimusho (Company) President.Trust me, I had a good laugh while watching! Then, plus point on the fast pace..Korean version was a bit draggy on the plot, they explain about Go Mi Nam aunt whatsoever but Japanese version only focus on A.N. JELL...(that being said, I only watched up till Ep 2..its on going drama, they will aired Ep 3 soon!) They may not be as beautiful but again, THEY CAN ACT. I told my friends if they are up for good acting then this is a drama for them but if they can't deal with not so beautiful actors/actress then DON'T give it a go. As easy as that.
I dunno guys~ I'm not 10 anymore, I'm 21. I am more fussy in choosing dramas. I rarely watch Korean dramas anymore as its getting more and more predictable. Of course, it offers you good looking casts and serve your fantasy with all the super duper romantic scenes going on..foam kiss.etc. It's repetitive don't u think? girl, main character will never fall for a perfect dude but fall for some ill mannered (but gorgeous) guy instead, they will hate each other to death at first, then forced kiss happens somewhere along the plot (and what more surprising (or not) is that kiss will always be the first kiss awwwww~), sometimes later..they fall in love...followed with lotsa crying scene..given 1000 reasons why they shouldn't be together..bla..bla..in the end, good guy never gets the girl & bad guy turn good FTW. Happy ending! YAY~ the only value of life that you learn from watching is...(wait for it)................... LOVE.
That's why I prefers Japanese drama, as it had lots to offer not just a romantic comedy sappy love drama. This is just "in my opinion" btw. Well~ people have every right to disagree with me and have their own opinion...~
Till then :)
(sorry didn't check my grammar,spelling & stuff..i felt weird writing after awhile.huhu)
1st of all!! *thumbs up*
ReplyDeleteu;ve said whatever i had in mind about korean drama. in the end ..it's all about freaking LOVE!!
i should really watch this Ikemen desu ne. this is the 2nd positive opinion i rad about this drama. the rest was like the k-fan bitching! and i got sick!.
trust me, i blamed the jap cuz remaking k-drama LOL
i'll put it in my 'drama to watch' list.
huh?? who the hell said that hikaru is not cute!!! he's freaking CUTE!!!!
I have the same opinion. Especially about the draggy plot. e.g Princess Hour. Can u believe it took me 4 years to watch the last 3-4 episodes? I started to watch it in 2007. lol. and lack of new theme in the drama is true. They should try to explore with other themes like humanity, family, friends, etc. Even the stupid Nodame dorama almost got me teary XD I laugh when you say about the 1st kiss. Its their 1st kiss but why it does not seem so? And btw, JIN sensei is not handsome but he's a good actor. And if anyone feel annoyed reading my comment, please take your time to watch some of the good doramas like 1 litre of tears or my boss my hero, attention please & alot more. The diversity & creativity they have make me always look forward to watch jdorama.
ReplyDeletecan I just put ur hikaru GIF 2 appreciate ur post??? I hv 2 in my blog..
ReplyDeleteAnd that Ren guy 2 me is so badass..LOL~
thumbs up 4 the post!!!!
wau..i'm so happy to read the post about ikemen desu ne..i never thought there are people that happen to have same thought as mine..haha.. when i watched this drama, at first i feel it will not up to my expectation..but after i finished watched ep 1, i start to love this drama..yes..i agree with this post..the actor in j-dorama is not pretty like k-drama..but from my point of view,i like the plot in most j-dorama, the story is in well way even though it only has 8-10 ep..compare to the k-drama, i feel most of the time i watch the drama take the long time to finish..plus..many moral and lessons from watching j-drama like friends, family..etc. but..watching k-drama makes me feel really bore..i dont get it..maybe too much love scene makes feel bore..
ReplyDeletep/s: i apologize for my very horrible grammar and spelling..i rarely comment of most post that i read, but this one is exceptional..^^
Thank you guys so much for reading & leaving comments...I'M SO HAPPY THAT I'M NOT ALONE ON THIS.... thought I'm gonna get bricked for my post.huuuuu~ *hi5(with all of u)*
ReplyDeleteI agree with you all the way..specially you opinion of kdrama..its become very predictable..
ReplyDeletejdramas always have variation in their genre and yes you can always somehow relate yourself to most of the incidence.
kdrama is always like watching a fairy tale unfold haha XD
coming back to ikemen desu ne..im loving this more with every episode that unfolds XD
cheerS!
